Happy Wednesday! Following last week's post, this one seemed appropriate. Once I had finished the rainbow blanket, I had just enough scraps left over for a small project, and this draw-string pouch is what came of it:

Wily Wednesdays

Okay, it's time to jump-start this mostly inactive blog, and the obvious solution is art. From this week onward, I'll be posting a new creative endeavor every Wednesday. I figure it's a good way to break up the week. I'm always working on something, so it's time to start sharing. Sometimes I'll show something new, while other times I'll dust off an oldie but goodie. I've got lots of creative ideas rolling around in my head, and this will be my way to keep to a regular routine.

Let's begin with something bright and colorful and gay!


Crochet Rainbow Striped Afghan, 2008


This is a blanket that still remains near and dear to my heart. It's the first big crochet project I ever took on, and it took me a year (off and on, of course) to finish. Homemade pattern, and I kept it pretty simple. Over 35,000 stitches (I don't know why I counted that at the time, but now we know).
